Akanksha Sharma grabbed the headlines when she told that she was the sister in law of famous indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. She even told that she was not happy with the marriage and is getting divorce soon. When asked about what was the main reason behind failed relationship, she answered, " The problem wasnt really with Yuvraj or Zorawar ( brother of yuvraj", but with their mother Sabnam Singh. Sabnam told in a conference that Akanksha said she didnt want a divorce but now telling lies on a national television. She continued, the whole issue is of judicial matter, so there's no need of talking about it on a national television.

After being eliminated from Bigg Boss 10, when asked about Sabnam's reaction, Akanksha told that she was ready to face to consequences and Sabnam can pressurize her. In an interview with Bollywoodlife, Akanksha revealed that Yuvraj Singh used to smoke marijuana, and its very common in the industry.
